Loss and Grief

Ughh… I hate it here! How many of us have said that in the depths of our pain?! Missing someone, some place, or just simply the way things used to be? Feelings of loss and grief are universal. It's a complex and profound process that has no timeline. Bereavement is not linear either.

We go through all these different stages in no specific pattern with a rainbow of emotions. I’m here to tell you that all of it is valid and normal. Grief is a deeply personal experience too, dependent on your culture and beliefs. It can be overwhelming, even all-consuming. How do we bear the pain, cope with the void left behind?

It's essential to understand these emotions, embrace them so the healing process can begin. We will work to find comfort in your world, support in your process, and meaning in your experience. I always say that time is your best friend and your worst enemy when grieving. As healing takes place, feelings of grief can evolve. If you allow it, grief can be transformative. With patience, we will find ways to integrate the experience into your life, holding a special place for it.
